CellarVault Privacy Policy

Effective July 10, 2026

CellarVault is built so your cellar stays yours. This policy is short because there is very little to disclose.

What we collect

CellarVault has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. We do not operate any server that receives your data.

Where your data lives

Your bottles, locations, consumption journal, and wish list are stored on your device. If iCloud is available, your data may also be stored in your personal, private iCloud database, encrypted by Apple. We have no access to it, and no sign-in is required.

Camera, microphone, and photos

The camera is used only for the optional "scan label" feature: it reads text off a bottle label on-device (Vision OCR) to pre-fill the add form. The microphone is used only for the optional voice-add feature, transcribed entirely on-device. Neither photos nor audio are ever uploaded anywhere; any label photo you keep is stored with that bottle's record, on your device (and your private iCloud, if enabled).

Notifications

Window alerts (Pro) are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push notification server and do not see when or whether you receive them.

Purchases

CellarVault Pro subscriptions and the one-time lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We receive no payment details. Manage or cancel a subscription any time in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Your control

You can export your entire cellar as a CSV file at any time, and erase everything by deleting the app (and removing CellarVault data from iCloud in iOS Settings, if you enabled sync).
