Windows are estimated from your bottle's style and vintage using a bundled reference library, or set by you directly if you know better. They are informed estimates, not guarantees; treat them as a starting point for your own judgment, not a substitute for it.
Label scan reads whatever text it can see on the label, so glare, curved labels, and unusual fonts can trip it up. It never blocks you: whatever it misses is just left blank, with your photo already attached, so you can finish the entry by hand in a few seconds.
Try naming the producer and wine clearly, and stating quantity and vintage as plain numbers ("six bottles, twenty nineteen"). Whatever doesn't parse is left blank for you to fill in on the same confirm screen; it never fails silently.
Free forever: unlimited bottles, your first cellar location, window status, the Ready Now view, your consumption journal, wish list, and CSV import/export. CellarVault Pro ($4.99/month, $29.99/year with a 7-day free trial, or $69.99 once) unlocks window alerts, the tonight picker, unlimited additional locations, analytics, an insurance-ready PDF export, and widgets.
Use Import from the Cellar tab or More. CellarVault shows you a preview (what will import as live inventory, what lands in your consumption journal, what's skipped and why) before anything is committed, so nothing gets imported by surprise.
Open the app, go to More, and tap "Restore purchases".
Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple: open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select CellarVault.
